He has been playing music since the age of 12, taking private guitar lessons for 10 years, and by the age of 14 was playing paid gigs. In high school, he played in the Jazz Band all four years. He also took part in the Concert and Marching Bands playing percussion, and studied drums/percussion for 3 years privately. He has played in 4 different personal bands on drums/guitar in high school, both covering songs and writing/recording original music.
At Millersville University, he recieved a BS in Music Business Technology, with a concentration in Industry. While there he started teaching lessons privately with students in classical, jazz, and rock styles of guitar. Throughout college, he played with commercial bands, getting opportunities to open up for Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, The Dazz Band, and Dennis DeYoung. As a member of the Jazz Ensemble all four years, they went to New Orleans to play a college Jazz Festival, where he was a recipient of the "Best Soloist" award. Towards the later years of college, I was playing in community and regional theatre, at venues such as Ephrata Performing Arts Center, The Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, and The Fulton Theatre as part of the pit orchestra.
He also had the opportunity to become a studio technician for Studio A at Millersville, where he ran sessions and taught younger students how to record/mix songs/projects. He has since helped produce/engineer albums/projects, mixing and mastering some of them as well. The music journey is a continuous path of learning and perfecting his craft, and he looks forward to sharing his knowledge with students interested in any/all aspects of music.
